Knights Bring Lourdes to South Jersey

During the second week of Lent, the Knights of Columbus Bishop Schad Assembly, in collaboration with the Holy Crusaders, Sancta Familia, and St. Jude councils, organized a Virtual Pilgrimage to Lourdes. This event was facilitated by the North American Volunteers and took place at St. Agnes, Holy Family, St. Joachim, and St. Andrew Churches, as well as the All-American Assisted Living Home in Sewell and the Veterans Home in Vineland. St. Joseph Church in Sea Isle City also joined the pilgrimage. The Virtual Pilgrimage offered everyone the chance to experience the peace and healing of Lourdes without needing to travel internationally. This prayerful journey brought participants closer to God in the presence of Our Lady, following the story of St. Bernadette. They were guided through a reflective visit to the Grotto, experienced the water, participated in prayer during a Rosary procession, and received a Eucharistic Blessing. More than 1,300 people attended, contributing goodwill offerings exceeding $9,000.00, which will be used to support those needing to travel to Lourdes for healing.
