Sancta Familia Council Celebrates Poster Finalist and WTPD K9 Unit Contributions to our Community

What an extraordinary February Social meeting of giving back to our parish family and community! The atmosphere was filled with joy and gratitude as we gathered to celebrate the spirit of generosity and togetherness that defines our parish. It was more than just an event; it was a heartfelt reminder of the impact we can have when we come together as a community.

During this memorable evening, our council took the time to honor the remarkable students who participated in the "Keep Christ in Christmas" poster contest. Each student received a beautifully designed certificate acknowledging their hard work and creativity, along with a gift card generously provided by the council members. This recognition not only celebrated their artistic talents but also encouraged them to continue expressing their faith and values through their creativity. The posters displayed the true meaning of Christmas, showcasing themes of love, hope, and community spirit, which resonated deeply with all who attended.

In addition to honoring the students, we were proud to announce that our council donated $500 to the Washington Township K9 unit. This contribution is significant, as the K9 unit plays a crucial role in our community, assisting in the search for approximately 130 missing persons each year. Their dedication and partnership with the police force are vital for ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents. The K9 unit not only helps in locating missing individuals but also engages in various community outreach programs, fostering a sense of security and trust within our neighborhoods.

As part of the evening’s festivities, the K9 unit put on an impressive demonstration for everyone in attendance. It was an exhilarating experience to watch the K9 officers and their highly trained dogs showcase their skills and teamwork. The demonstration highlighted the incredible bond between the officers and their canine partners, emphasizing the important role that these dogs play in law enforcement. Attendees were captivated by the dogs’ agility and intelligence, and it was a wonderful opportunity for families to learn more about the K9 unit's work and the invaluable service they provide to our community.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the students and their families for their participation and enthusiasm, as well as to the Washington Township Police Department K9 unit for taking the time to join us for our February social meeting. Your presence and contributions made the evening truly special, reinforcing the bonds of community and faith that we cherish. Together, we are making a difference, and we look forward to many more nights of giving back and celebrating our shared values in the future!

God Bless Everyone,

Tony D.
